About the Role

We're looking for a proven digital sales and relationship building professional to help us to expand on our recent growth. The role will see you play a significant part in our multi award-winning digital agency, Switch.

As the business development manager you will be ultimately responsible for delivering opportunities and revenue through to our new business pipeline. Achievable incentives will be paid quarterly on-top of your salary for this full time role.

Reporting directly to the managing director, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Lead generation
  • Managing a pipeline of inbound leads and opportunities
  • Pitching for new work with the assistance of the Switch team
  • Assisting in responding to briefs, requests for tenders and quotes
  • Networking

On a daily basis you will be working with our existing clients, new prospects and our team to identify or respond to opportunities that maximise value for our clients and Switch.

Our ideal candidate is an experienced and dedicated business development professional with a digital agency history, a track record of results and a focus on achieving the best for our clients.

As an experienced business development manager, you are likely to have these key attributes :

  • 3+ years in a business development role.
  • Strong experience in sales, prospecting, networking and presentations.
  • Strong understanding of the digital landscape.
  • Understanding of content management systems (such as Sitecore or Umbraco), web technologies and best practices.
  • Plenty of experience across different solutions within the digital space.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to sell best of breed digital strategy, a great networker and closer.
  • Happy to be autonomous and highly self-motivated.
  • Experience building strong client relationships and growing existing accounts
  • Expertise in writing tender responses and proposals for major web development projects.
  • Understanding of SEO, SEM and SMM.
  • Honest, reliable, trustworthy and dependable.
