Creative Web Designer / Builder

Do you have a passion for web design and posses some serious XHTML and CSS coding chops? We're looking for a fellow designer who has the same addiction to pixel perfect web design as we do, loves writing valid code and pays particular attention to detail.

Responsibilities

You'll be responsible for :

• Designing web sites and email campaigns for a range of interesting clients
• Converting your designs into valid XHTML and CSS
• Working closely with the development team to ensure your designs can carry seamlessly through to integration on the web and mobile devices

When you're not designing, you'll likely be looking after existing projects or working on one of our products.

The position is full-time and remuneration will be based on experience.

Why We Need a Creative Web Designer / Builder

We're looking to take better care of our customers by ensuring that we continually deliver a high level of quality in design, development and support. We need a creative web designer / builder to work with us on new range of projects for our clients as well as some of our very own products.

You will be pivotal in building and maintaining our reputation as a company which focuses on delivering refined solutions.

Requirements

The successful applicant will need to have a minimum of 18 months experience designing and building commercial sites in a web based agency and / or freelance. So you'll need to meet the following requirements :

• Comprehensive knowledge of standards compliant XHTML and CSS.
• Solid experience designing commercial web sites, illustrated by an impressive web design portfolio (extra brownie points for having delivered projects similar in design and scale to our clients.
• Ability to ensure design consistency across all modern browsers (you know which ones we mean).
• A very strong understanding of current online trends.
• Awesome communication skills (both written and verbal) and proven experience dealing with clients.
• Casual, pleasant personality and a great sense of humour.
• A strong sense of meeting customers expectations and can carefully balance multiple projects with a clear focus detail.
• Good time management skills with the ability to work as part of our team or autonomously.

Being able to to work as part of a team and / or autonomously is crucial. Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) are essential as you will be liaising with clients directly.
